Leipzig’s Gewandhaus Orchestra is performing ICMA’s Gala Concert 2017 next Saturday, 1 April at the Gewandhaus. The concert will be conducted by Francesco Angelico. Chief Conductor of the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck as well as the Tyrolean Theatre, the Sicily born conductor now leads this ensemble in his fourth and at the same time last season. From the 2017/2018 season he will be Generalmusikdirektor in Kassel.
The concert also will feature Ensemble Esperanza, MDR Rundfunkchor and soloists Elena Bashkirova, Sharon Bezaly, Sophie Pacini, Elsa Dreisig, Chouchane Siranossian, Caroline Widmann, Tabea Zimmermann, Gabor Boldoczki, Daniel Müller-Schott, Robert Neumann, Julian Prégardien, Matti Salminen and Jos van Immerseel.
