Liechtenstein bank launches new award for young musicians

VP Bank and the Music Academy in Liechtenstein have launched a new award: the VP Bank Opus Award, which will be presented for the first time on November 14, 2024. This innovative award is aimed at young musicians who have already achieved great success at an early stage. The press release states: « The VP Bank Opus Award sets a new milestone in the promotion of musical talent, taking into account not only artistic ability but also the diverse challenges of the modern music world. »

The jury consists of Christine Rhomberg, Member of the Executive Board of the Hilti Foundation, Michaela Braun, Head of Communications and Marketing of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, and Andrea Meuli, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of the magazine Musik & Theater.

Five outstanding young talents were nominated for the VP Bank Opus Award by Drazen Domjanic, Artistic Director of the Music Academy in Liechtenstein. They are all already successful at a young age and have mastered the challenges of their musical careers with impressive maturity. The nominees were judged according to an extensive list of criteria, which also included the following aspects: Communication skills and expressiveness, Creativity and artistic independence, Professional appearance and social attitude, Financial planning and self-management, Self-reflection and willingness to learn, Marketing and media awareness, Musical versatility and repertoire, Emotional intelligence and audience appeal.
