ICMA winner Robert Neumann plays at SWR Evening Concert

In these sad times of war in the middle of Europe, three young musician-friends, violinist Alexey Semenenko from Ukraine, cellist Alexey Stadler from Russia and German pianist Robert Neumann will perform on May 9 at 8:00 p.m. in the radio studio of SWR in Stuttgart to play works of Russian and Ukrainian composers.  The SWR Evening Concert will be covered by all ARD cultural radios, with SWR2, NDR Kultur, hr2, MDR Klassik, SR2 & rbbKultur broadcasting live.

International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and ICMA extend their cooperation

In 2016, the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) and the Foundation International Music Academy in Liechtenstein created their Discovery Award, aimed at distinguishing young musicians from 12 to 18 years, and which, since that year, has been an important part of the annual ICMA awards. Discovery Award winner Yuan Yu to perform in Romania

After winning First Prize in the 6th Cluj International Music Competition in September 2021, flutist Yuan Yu, ICMA Discovery Award winner in 2018, will play Carl Nielsen’s Flute Concerto with the Brasov Philharmonic and the Satu Mare State Philharmonic. The concert with the Brasov Philharmonic will take place on 12 May and the one with the Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic Satu Mare on the 19th. Both concerts will be conducted by Tiberiu Soare.

At the Festival BA Classica in Busto Arsizio (40 kilometers north-west from Milan)  ICMA Discovery Award winner Julian Kainrath will give a recital with Canadian pianist Louis Lortie. On 3 May, they will perform Beethoven’s Fourth Violin Sonata, Brahms’ Scherzo F.A.E and the Third Sonata as well as Debussy’s Violin Sonata.

On 21 April, the Award Ceremony organized by the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) took place in the Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie Luxembourg, followed by the ICMA Gala Concert in the Grand Auditorium.
