At the ICMA Gala Concert in Luxembourg, Luxembourg conductor Ivan Boumans will premiere a piece by his colleague Sebastian Androne-Nakanishi, Lan Huahua – The Dark Blue Flower. Russian broadcaster Radio Orpheus suspended as ICMA member

With the deepest concern over the war initiated by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and considering the fact that ICMA Jury member Radio Orpheus, Moscow, is a broadcaster operated and owned by the Russian State and no longer a member of the European Broadcasting Union, the Jury of the International Classical Music Awards has suspended the membership of Radio Orpheus. Label of the Year publishes Award video

Just 4 years after its creation, with no less than 60 CDs and DVDs released to date, the record label of Château de Versailles Spectacles is ICMA Label of the Year 2022.   Praised by the jury for « the quality of the ensembles and artists, the excellent quality of the sound recordings and a presentation so luxurious that it can only be described as Versaillesque », the label has now published a video on its Facebook page.

Today the Jury of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) announced the winners of 26 awards for the 2022 edition. « Our international and independent Jury has selected the winners from a nomination list comprising 377 productions and a wide range of artists and labels. Midem is no more, long live ICMA

The international music industry conference Midem in Cannes has been definitely brought to an end, its organizer RX France has announced. Midem, where some ICMA jury members were participating during several years and where first the Cannes Classical Awards, then the Midem Classical Awards took place, started to dip in the early 2010s, shortly after the organizer had cancelled the Midem Classical Awards which then were turned into the independent International Classical Music Awards, ICMA.
