ICMA Young Artist to make US debut

Belgian soprano Jodie Devos, ICMA’s Young Artist of the Year 2015, develops her career in a great way: in August she will make her debut in the United States, singing at the Mostly Mozart Festival the soprano part in Mozart’s Requiem under the baton of Louis Langrée. The concerts will take place at the David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center.

Two ICMA Discovery Award winners, Nikolai Song (2016) and Yuan Yu (2018) met in Paris with ICMA President Remy Franck to discuss further common activities and their own options for a musical future. Both of the young musicians are currently studying at the National Conservatory in Paris.

ICMA ‘Young Artist of the Year’ gibt Rollendebüt als Violetta Valéry in Berlin

Am 28. Januar gibt die Sopranistin Elsa Dreisig an der Staatsoper ‘Unter den Linden’ ihr Rollendebüt als Violetta Valéry in Giuseppe Verdis ‘La traviata’. Die Inszenierung von Dieter Dorn ist unter der musikalischen Leitung von Massimo Zanetti bis zum 3. Juni an insgesamt neun Abenden zu erleben (4., 7., 10., 14. und 17. Februar mit Elsa Dreisig als Violetta Valéry – bei den Vorstellungen am 30. Mai sowie 1. und 3. Juni übernimmt Ailyn Pérez die Partie). Die 26-jährige französisch-dänische Sopranistin Elsa Dreisig war im Jahr 2017 ‘Young Artist of the Year’ der ICMA.
