Several of ICMA’s 2019 winners have been performing at this year’s VP Bank Classic Festival (formerly Next Generation Festival) in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland. Remy Franck presented the 14-year-old ICMA Discovery Award winner Eva Gevorgyan who took part in a piano concert and also Young Artist 2019, Croatian bassoon player Matko Smolcic, who was scheduled for a nonet concert as well as for a baroque concert with the Ensemble Esperanza. The concert master of this ensemble, Chouchane Siranossian, is herself an ICMA winner, since she won with her Mendelssohn CD in the category Assorted programs.
