The Foundation Board of the Liechtenstein Academy of Music has decided to appoint Beat Fehlmann as Drazen Domjanic’s successor. The Swiss music manager is currently Artistic Director of the German State Philharmonic Orchestra Rhineland-Palatinate. He will not only take over the management of the Music Academy, but also the management of the Esperanza ensemble, which was founded by the Music Academy.

Prior to his post in Ludwigshafen, Fehlmann was director of the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie in Constance, following positions with the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden and the Philharmonie der Nationen.

Beat Fehlmann holds degrees in clarinet, conducting and composition as well as an Executive Master in Arts Administration from the University of Zurich. For some years now, Beat Fehlmann has concentrated on administrative activities. Since 2020, he has also been teaching orchestra management at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. In 2022, he was awarded the Kulturpreis der deutschen Orchester for his innovative work.
